Play Therapy

Child In Mind has a team of clinicians trained in Play Therapy techniques to support children and teens as they explore mental health, social relationships, and emotional concerns.

Research shows that creativity can help children express themselves and understand their experiences. Our skilled play therapists guide clients through a mix of directive and non-directive activities, games, and exercises designed to uncover challenges and develop solutions.

While play therapy benefits all clients, it is especially effective for children and youth who struggle to express themselves verbally. Common modalities include sandtray, art, emotionally focused rule-games, and music.
