Al brings his extensive experience working with families and children spanning over twenty years to create a caring, compassionate space, and thrives in providing a safe, open and non-judgemental environment where individuals can feel supported in their journey. Al has been working with children, youth, and families in Ottawa’s community and clinical settings for over eight years.
Al Prado, BA, MA, holds an honours B.A. degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Xavierian University, and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Al is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. (CRPO-Registration # 007124)

His counselling approach is integrative, person-centered, and collaborative; he draws from various theories and works cooperatively with the clients to create a therapeutic approach and address their needs. Integrating Neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and Art Therapy to guide tailored services. Areas of expertise include ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, parent-child relationships, family functioning, behavioural difficulties and school difficulties.
