Shelley Marriner

B.A. Psych

Shelley holds a B.A. Psychology degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. She began her career in Ottawa, working with adults with developmental disabilities in a variety of community settings.  She soon transitioned to partnering directly with families to plan and deliver customized care for children, in their homes. Shelley has also spent time working at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre as part of the schizophrenia research team, in a variety of direct, client-facing roles.  More recently, Shelley has spent nearly a decade working in formal educational settings, including specialized program classes and alternative learning spaces. She has extensive experience in the areas of behaviour management, sensory processing and mental health promotion.  Throughout her career and across all of these settings, Shelley's common thread of care is her unwavering commitment to the creation of a nurturing, safe and healthy environment for children.
