Sarah Basile holds a MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a BA majoring in Psychology from Carleton University. Sarah is a member of the College of Registered Pscyhotherapists of Ontario (License # 12868) and is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Sarah’s professional purpose is to support and enhance the biopsychosocial well-being of children, adolescents, and adults within the Ottawa community. Sarah utilizes this unified model by assessing the clients’ stressors, family history, attachment needs, body regulation states (sleep and physical activity), and social environmental factors.

Sarah’s psychotherapy sessions involve using her knowledge and expertise to discern appropriate interventions that will assist the individuals mental health while ensuring appropriate toolkits are provided for treatment plan to be carried out in an empowering and effective manner. Sarah applies a NeuroRelational framework alongside CBT, DBT, Attachment theory, Brainspotting, and mindfulness.

Sarah takes pride in creating an inclusive, compassionate, and trustworthy space for her clients and is an avid ally of the LGBTQ2S+ community. Sarah supports families and adults with a wide range of issues relating to anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma, and she specifically enjoys working with new parents. Sarah looks forward to seeing how she can best support you or your families needs at this time.
