Karen Hill (she/her) holds a B.A. (hons) Psychology degree from the University of British Columbia, a B.Ed. degree from Queen’s University and an M.Ed.degree in Counseling from the University of Ottawa.
She has been working with children, youth, adults and families in both educational and therapeutic settings for more than 20 years. Karen’s passion is to support individuals to live healthy, happy lives and in providing the tools and skills to do so. She has extensive training in the areas of behaviour management, sensory processing and mental health, and has worked as a Therapist, Trainer and Special Education Teacher in specialized program classes in both public and private education. Karen works from a collaborative, strengths-based perspective; assisting and supporting clients to be the architect of their own lives. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, ADHD, ODD, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma. Karen has extensive training in Collaborative Problem Solving, ABA therapy and is an Advanced Trainer of the Nurtured Heart Approach. She values building a safe, comfortable and collaborative therapeutic relationship, gently guiding her clients to being their best, authentic selves.
