Emily Beaudoin

PhD (Candidate)

Emily is a senior PhD Candidate at McGill University in the School/Applied Child Psychology program. She holds an honours B.A. degree in Psychology from Carleton University and M.A. in School/Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. Emily offers both therapy and assessment services at Child In Mind.

In her practice, Emily approaches her work with youth and families holistically by focusing on developing skills and promoting agency to achieve effective and sustainable mental health outcomes. Emily's most important goal is for her clients to feel accepted and understood. By using an integrative therapy style, often drawing upon emotion-focused and cognitive-behavioral theoretical orientations, Emily takes a client-focused approach when providing evidence based interventions.

Emily has extensive experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including the Toronto District School Board, Batshaw Youth Protection in Montreal, Jewish General Hospital in Child Psychiatry, and Child Development Institute - Learning Disabilities Mental Health program.
