Sharon Aron

M.Ed., B.Ed.,

Sharon holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology from McGill University as well as a Bachelor of Social Science, Bachelor of Education, and Master of Education in Counselling from the University of Ottawa. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Sharon has been a Clinician in children’s mental health for over 20 years and has had the privilege of working alongside countless incredible children and their caregivers.

Her expertise lies in helping children who exhibit emotional, behavioural and social challenges at home, school and in their communities. She believes that beneath most difficult behaviours is a child with gifts and talents who wants to do and feel better. Her work aims to better understand and resolve some of the underlying reasons why a child might be struggling while strengthening the caregiver-child relationship. Areas of focus include ADHD, Anxiety, and parent coaching.

Her approach integrates evidence-based practices and is trauma-informed, strength-based, collaborative, and individualized. She recognizes the value of the therapeutic relationship and strives to provide a safe, warm, welcoming, and empathetic environment where children and their caregivers can grow and develop.
